I was trying to sort out what musical instrument Pyry plays, and I admit the usual lyra attributed to the northners at the time is not at all what I envisage aesthetically. Then I fell upon this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardanger_fiddle. The hardanger fiddle, a Norwegian instrument from the 17th century. Now, Kandaaria is not on earth so I am wondering whether you would like to accept that Hoarlanders have progressed in fiddle like instruments played on the lap (as opposed to the shoulder) or while standing. The hardanger, playing with the harmonics on the background, is awesome as a concept, even though it's a latter invention. To that extent, on Pyry's profile in the OP I put on the relevant short story an image of a Pontic lyra (today's Black Sea shores of Turkey) which is simpler yet more evocative in design. If it's ok by you, the old style image will stay, the name will be lyra, and it will have the properties of a hardanger fiddle (with harmonic strings). Or alternatively Pyry can play the cello (early 16th century). He is quite obsessive when he plays, you know? en.metalship.org/photos_live/concert8149_23.jpgAttachments:

Nice, I have no problem with your instrument being a harmonic lyra. ;D By the way, is that photo one of Apocalytica?

That was Pyry, we said! (yes, Apocalyptica)Cool for the instrument. See you tonight. In case you missed it: there is a description of Pyry posted on OP, and a 5' story of Pyry without literature posted on his thread. Just for you to know, if you intend to use that material.
