I believe everybody was ok for next Wednesday (19th)...?
Is the start time of 18:30 UTC ok? (19:30 BST: British Summer Time)

Meaning, half an hour earlier than last time?
No problem whatsoever!
If we have fixed skype and we can talk, maptools doesn't matter as much. The tool is not the goal!
[Yes, really excited about starting this team for real!]

Actually half an hour later I was there yesterday, but half an hour earlier than our *advertised* start time - if you see what I mean. I got a little confused between UTC, GMT & BST and opened the Maptool server and hour early at 19:00 BST (18:00 UTC)! The big news though - I think my mic problem is fixed! ;D I installed a new soundcard a few weeks ago and I think I had one of the settings on that wrong. A test call over skype to my girlfriend (on the other side of the door) seemed to work OK - though the slight delay between hearing her actually talking and having it relayed about half a second later over skype was a bit odd. So ... onwards to glory!

I just made a reminder of the local time for myself Location Local time Time zone UTC offset UTC 19. October 2011, 18:30:00 Finland 19. October 2011, 21:30:00 EEST UTC+3 hours
This site is handy for conversions by location or timezone. www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.htmlOf course there are plenty of similar converters around the webspace. -Vesa-

Sir Flak has given me a few answers on why MT is not working properly for me here: (I will try it tonight in the evening to see how that goes). www.kenzerco.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1061897#post1061897Also, because I fiddled with it yesterday, the new version I suggested two posts back has the barbarian. So let's upgrade! Summertime ends on the last Sunday (early morning) of October. This is almost the last time of confusion since it will be Jan's time +1 or +2. Also, I dug out 2 KoK adventures (pointless for the moment, I guess), all my HackMaster 4ed adventures (equally pointless), my HJs are all at home, and found my Hobgoblins book and my Orks book from the 3E iteration of KoK (both with tons of fluff). The basic book(s) and the Player's Guide are still in the boxes I am afraid, so still no access to the rules/religion. EDIT: HJ#37 is out for you HMGMA members. Of potential interest to us are the two artisan skills (Glass Making and Parchment Making/Book binding) as well as the cleric of the Bear (to get a better idea of what The Bear is about).

I have upgraded to maptool-1.3.b87 ready for this evening. Haven't had much time to play about with anything this week, so things will likely be a bit more trial and error this evening - but I should at least be able to talk to you all now. P.S. My treasure tables article made the latest HackJournal. ;D
