Jan does not have a problem whatever we want to be. Good, I guess. I will most certainly be a human. For class, as stated, I was drifting between ranger or fighter/thief, then Vesa suggested Cleric (I am not sure the stats are good for that but I am listening), so I am open to all suggestions. It also depends on your choices. Can somebody put our unmodified numbers as rolled to try to sort out what is the best for us as a group? We can sort out the fluff in the same time as the crunch. That will facilitate with Jan's request of our characters knowing each other (and maybe being in good terms) to help kickstart the campaign. Also please remember: no access to books for the moment. Any suggestions you might have for me are very welcome. PS. If you feel that many times I suggest things a GM would suggest and bugs you, please speak up. I was a GM the biggest part of my gaming life and finding ways to facilitate the GM to make a more interesting story is kind of a second nature.

I'll post the raw stats when I get home from work this evening if nobody else has before then.
I'm also working on some basic race & religion info to add to the OP site that I hope you'll find useful.

Thanks for the stats. Rand is such a Paladin... And I can see what Vesa tries to do with Volmar. Effective. So what am I? The ugly fighter/thief? An unwashed ranger? A straight fighter, clever yet an asshole? Or the ailing priest that can't convert anybody? Leaning towards ranger for us to have some thieving skills. With my 6,66 satanic constitution my ToP rolls will be a source of great amusement every single time.

Antonio,
Swap your STR and CHA and make a cleric of the True. Then Martin's aspirant Fighter/Knight/Paladin would be a natural 'bodyguard' of the priest, assigned by Truthseekers. You might have to swap INT and WIS also to gain some bonus spells too though.

I'm kinda too tempted by elf hotness to go the paladin route As an elf ranger I'll have a crapload of miscellaneous skills right off the bat. Or fighter/mage for fun spell combos. I'll take a look at cleric if we're desperate for that, but elf clerics are EXPENSIVE. As for stat swapping for Antonios char, I'd do int to dex if not going with a mage. Then buy dex up to 16, for a decent defense to make up for the craptastic con. You could even go dwarf, which will bump con to decent levels but leave your charisma and honor in the gutter. A dwarven fighter/thief could be fun?

I was thinking of going ranger. This would allow me to keep the stats at their place to gain the full BP benefit. Taking into account that some super useful traits are given at half price, I could really stock up on those. I am slightly scared here that with the two changes Vesa is suggesting I will be seriously underequipped skillwise. Of course I could try Barbarian with an INT/CON change, but I would need Jan for that. Isn't the class only on the new beta? The fighter/thief or the fighter/mage is not a tragic idea for this guy in the end. Irrespective of the class discussion, going dwarf sounds unplayable. Con will become tollerable at 10/66, but with LKS 5/93 and CHA 5/18, without having the book available I seriously doubt that I can even speak properly. Coupled with an intelligence of 15+ with no stat change, it will make me a hard-core recluse, hated by society and not allowed inside inns or even inside walled areas for the night. This needs quite some thinking (and some talking with Jan), me thinks. We might end up with two rangers, but hell, it can't be that bad in the end. ...or can it?

Well my character will be underequipped in any aspect if you are worrying your skills Antonio. Volmar will have skill mastery DRM of -1 or -2 for most of the skills AND he already has LKS and CHA of 6 so your worries sound just vain compared to my problems.

I really hope the electronic lady luck will help you more because dice rolling was not ideal. My point is not that vain though. I am already ugly and not really a leader while bordering leprocy. No need to underequip my guy even more; bad for the team. I am looking forward to see the quirk and flaw and whether it will fit the theme I start seeing.

I hope so too. But anyway buying skills will be very expensive with that kind of DRMs for Volmar... It almost makes no sense to waste BPs on skills but instead hoard them to buy those nice mage talents reducing spell fatigue effects etc.
