Hey all, Long time no hear. How is it going everyone? Antonios is now a happy married guy and Jan seems to be a master indexing PHB chapters and I have dabbled with my automated character sheet a little to keep it up to date with PHB. I would be happy to continue gaming with HackMaster Eurogroup too. How is your future looking? Any open timeslots for gaming on? -Vesa-

As you guys may recall from Antonios' original Blue & Gold thread on the Kenzer forums and the PMs which followed, I had been GM-ing a regular weekly game for around a decade (plus other less regular games and several years of HMA tourneys). This had all but dried up by last summer and I was left as a GameMaster without a Game to Master; my own weekly group had broken up due to real life issues and my semi-regular game has been on hiatus since August (though we've still met regularly for board games and one-off RPGs). Now however I have a 'new' regular game that will be starting back up in the coming weeks. We've taken the characters from the old semi-regular game, a party we started in 2007 and played through about 80% of the Kenzer published adventures (and a few others). This game was fading though as there were (1) no more published modules that would be a challenge, and (2) I didn't have time to prep new ones. This game had been a 'filler' as the usual GM's job had taken a lot of his spare time. I jumped in to run adventures 'out of the book' to keep the group going - a group of friends that has grown tighter over the years, and is in fact where I met my girlfriend Hayley! ;D The 'new' game will be a 'last hurrah' for our HM4e campaign - it takes those experienced and well-loved PCs and elevates them to the high level HackMaster classes in the GMG, and going forward as my regular group that is where my prep time will primarily be devoted. They will be ambassadors for the Prime Material Plane on a long term mission to the City of Brass to try and win an alliance with the Grand Sultan. In the background a secret organization made up of old foes who survived previous adventures work against the heroes, plotting slow painful humiliating vengeance.
As well as this, Hayley and I will be co-GameMastering a new occasional campaign (probably one long session once every month or so) set in our own world. We have been working on the milieu recently, redrawing and refining maps to properly reflect travel times and climates. The main adventuring area will be the Kingdom of Aneth (which you may know is to the southwest of Kandaaria). My previous weekly game was set in the eastern province of the kingdom around the town of Seerstone. Hayley had GM-ed a couple of adventures previously and had notes for more, which we've transplanted into the northern province which just so happened to be perfect for it - even had geological features (mountains, woods, etc.) in the right places - it was fate! Already we've bounced some good ideas off each other and the world is richer for it.
Plus, I still play in another regular weekly group. So ... I'm afraid all of this leaves me no time to pick the Eurogroup back up. Sorry. (If you guys want to carry on playing in Kandaaria with another GM that would be great. The Obsidian Portal stuff will be staying up for the time being - I will probably be swapping out the HackMonkeeze pages for the new co-GMed game, and may then port over the Kandaaria stuff to that - and if you have any questions on the setting I'll gladly answer them.)

Good morning guys! Married life is not that drastically different from single life, as long as you remember to barbwire the remote control! Obviously, I am kidding. It is great fun. I am afraid the obligations. work missions and even the combined leisure travelling with the wife wouldn't have permitted me to join for the time being. But I am not negative about the futre. Hell, the full HM rules are out already. Jan, if at any point you wish to purge Kandaria's slot, can you please tell us so that we at least save our work? I'd be happy to keep Pyry somewhere in suspended animation and not have him lost to the ether.

I could perhaps try running a Kingdoms of Kalamar game for our Eurogroup if we have enough players available sometime. I havet to also make sure my internet connection allows people to connect my computer running the Maptools as server.

Thanks guys, it's been fun! ;D Jan, if at any point you wish to purge Kandaria's slot, can you please tell us so that we at least save our work? I'd be happy to keep Pyry somewhere in suspended animation and not have him lost to the ether. Of course, I always back up these things. I'm still hoarding stuff from my first tabletop campaign from 2001...

I have some stuff from late 1980's hidden in drawers Some maps and character sheets etc. At some point we used to have our characters written in notebooks rather than charactersheets. It was very handy for keeping a lots of notes about equipment, spellbooks, adventures, NPCs and maps etc. All in one place.

Playing again at some point when we all have a bit more time and know the system better wouldn't be a bad idea at all.
I am getting my library soon and the amount of notes I found while moving my RPG books for the upteenth time is unbelievable. Seems like yesterday.
